About This Course

This course is designed to educate and prepare Massage Therapists on common injuries, pathologies, indications, contraindications, assessments (including Range of Motion and Palpation), postural imbalances, trigger points of the Shoulder and Arm, myofascial techniques, neuromuscular techniques, muscle energy and activation techniques, muscle firing patterns, and signs and symptoms of inflammation. By integrating these techniques and learning resources, therapists will be able to more effectively assess and treat the Shoulder and Arm Region in a therapeutic manner. Join us to enhance your skills in caring for your clients' shoulder and arm health!

What to Bring

  • A device for your written exam (computer, tablet, or mobile device. Exams are completed through our student portal)

  • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (for hands-on demonstration and practice)

  • 2 sheets & a blanket (for draping and covering the treatment table)

  • A massage table, if you have one

  • Study tools of your choice (highlighters, sticky notes, or whatever helps you take notes and retain material)
